Descroll support

Descroll is a Chrome desktop extension that adds one random browsing fault to sites you choose. Sites are off until you enable them. This page supports Descroll version 1.1.1.

Get started

  1. Open the ordinary website you want Descroll to affect.

  2. Open Descroll from Chrome’s extensions menu and choose Enable on this website. Approve Chrome’s site-access prompt if shown.

  3. If the popup asks you to reload, reload the page. Browse normally and let Descroll wait for a random moment.

Restore normal behavior

Choose Repair until reload in the Descroll popup to cancel a waiting fault or restore the current page’s scrolling and colors. The page stays repaired until it is reloaded.

A reload starts a fresh document, resets repair, and draws another random fault if the site is still enabled. To stop Descroll on the site, choose Disable on this website. You can also remove its site access in Chrome settings or uninstall the extension.

Common questions

Nothing has happened yet. Descroll deliberately waits for a random moment. Keep the page visible and browse normally. If the popup says to reload, reload it to start.

Can I choose an effect? The six effects are selected randomly. There is no effect selector, timing setting, or pause control. Effects may repeat across reloads.

Where does it work? This release supports Chrome desktop 140 or newer on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS websites. Browser settings pages and the Chrome Web Store are protected. Some custom interfaces and native widgets may behave differently.
